After a break to take stock and attend to pressing domestic issues (nothing to do with ironing ok) I am begining again.
I have a radio show this thursday- this current run (and a visit to the BBC in Plymouth) have casued me to consider this project in a new light.
Soundart Radio organized two visits to the BBC studios for interested programme makers - the day was a workshop and a tour- and really good fun. What amazed me- and was of considerable note to the BBC personel who spoke to us too- was the massive and diverse programming Soundart Radio produces at a fraction of the cost, and with a fraction of the resources available compared to the BBC. What is it we have then? Passion and volunteers...
Town Crier is in flux (yay! good- all the best things are in states of flux- open, ambiguous, in transformation, adapting...)
There are two strands (Two are more than enough for me to think about at once?!) to Town Crier:
The second allows a dialogue to develop: whats important, whats afoot, how do the towns' people think feel and wish to express their own 'news' (what counts as news anyhow?) and how do we want to develop our relationship to media - our own ability to communicate, to express, to question, to work together ....
OK- planning, and invitation .... x

- the sharing of news
- the sharing of radio resources so others can make the news
