Looking at a couple of book titles on Community Development : hoping to access them via the Devon library... but its not looking good... there is nothing, or the catalogue is bust- I'll go ask the Totnes Libary ladies what they advise next week. I've also approached Schumacher College, asking if they do library membership to non-students (Amazon have the lot, but currently I do not have the handy £80...). Dartington College of Arts allowed locals to become members at the libary on campus- the amazing arts and cultural theory collections that were held there are sorely missed now they have gone to Falmouth. The libary building is currently the Trusts' Social Justice department... maybe a little ironic....?
Access to education (and the community-wide empowerment that increased educational opportunity creates) form a crucial component of community development. :-)
at least I've got access to the interweb:

(but then, also, my heartbeat quicken...)
and, delving a little deeper, my mouth GRIN like a small time local version of the (Devonian) Cheshire Cat :-D
