Having honed my festivalizing skills at the Green Gathering (folk music in the Permaculture tent) I'm very excited about the approaching
Totnes Festival - lots of music, theatre, a fun fair, and general good times spread across the town's varied venues.
"
Recording
for Soundart Radio at the Totnes festival has been a total blast- this
years' programming has been better than ever- well done to all the
venues and to the organizers- and thanks for the opportunity to record,
and interview, and participate on behalf of Soundart Radio!! My personal
highlights this year : Jared and Isaac's Festie Morning Breakfast Show-
great, funny wake up radio with grand toons and interesting guests, the
Traditional Singing session at the Bay Horse Inn- amazing voices,
historic and heartfelt songs and lots of chorus/ carousing, and also
Soundart Radio's Summer Club- the kids getting confident in the studio
and interviewing performers and real journalists- Karen form the Totnes Times, Holly Ebony, Jon
Eliott, and Lona and Eli did so well with questions such as "How many
leopards can you wrestle?", and Wille and The Bandits gave me a great
interview and much aural delight at The Barrel House with their top
roots rock ... and it isn't even over!!!!! Tonight I'm recording the
Night Paddle on the Dart with Spindle Wayfarer, tomorrow there is the
lantern procession's Autumn Night's Dream at the Leechwell Gardens, and
Sunday, the festival finish party with Wilfredo!!!! One membership to Soundart
Radio + some training in basic recording technique + some free editing
software (Audacity) + a community festival full of interest, events, and
great characters = brilliant fun :-)"
